Here is a photo from the virtual catwalk we put together last week, it all went very smoothly and I had lots of fun dressing the model and watching her go down the runway. It turned out just the way i wanted it to go. Here is a sneak peak of one of my outfits!

i have my threads, fabrics and fastenings there is no stopping me now creating my collection, over the last few weeks i have been focusing on two of my outfits side by side. i wasn't planning on working on two at the same times but fabrics and threads held me back on one so i needed to keep going so work on my other outfit for the mean time.

Trying to sort out my resolved toile of leggings before i make them in my final fabrics. 

Trying to make a popper opening at the side after a few attempts at pattern cutting i managed to get it to work.

Adding black cuffing to the sleeves, worked well really like the way it turned out.

working out whether i need to add bias binding to the bottom or to do a normal hem can't decide!

i have been so busy at uni i haven't got round to updating my blog so here is what i've been up to. 

Firstly we had a photo shoot with one of are final garments made, everyones turned out really well. i loved my photos they look amazing, better than i expected.

From handing these in with my module its time to start making the other five for my collection. I've been feeling a bit unmotivated but hopefully when i start getting into it i will be having fun with it. 

Free fabric

A big parcel came through today from a lovely women at the Palmhive factory. She managed to send me some seconds of fabric they usually throw away. I didnt think how much I was going to get. I am excited to start using it!

Finally got the photos!

We had an opportunity to have a photo shoot on the open evening of college. which gave us a look into how the photo shoot will be like, when we have to do it soon for one of are final garments…very scary!! 

It was great to see how the toiles looked on a model and having lighting, hair and make-up. Here are some photos of my lovely model Rebecca Matthews in one of my outfits. 

Went to london last friday to search for more fabric for my collection here is what i found..

From walking round all day i ended up finding a few nice pieces.The fur is from a shop called Macculloch and Wallis (www.macculloch-wallis.co.uk) i brought a small sample as i wasn't sure yet on purchasing more. The two stretch fabrics are from GoldHawk road there were really cheap and still good quality i will be using these two for my collection. 

also on another note i brought this Promarker from Cass Art for £1.50 Bargain!!

This 9 week module is officially over and its on to the next 6 week one! i haven't posted for a while its been very stressful project and its been christmas holidays too. Here is some photos towards the end of this module…

Over Christmas i had to start sewing some of collection, so i used this space back home for my little studio.
